DEUREX C 0315 M
Bio based, vegetable Carnauba wax T3, micronized
DEUREX C 0315 M is a micronized carnauba wax T3 supplied as a yellow, free-flowing powder. This natural wax combines high hardness with a comparatively low drop point and promotes polishability and high gloss. Its fine particle distribution makes the micronized carnauba wax very easy to dose and incorporate into formulations. It is particularly suitable for hydrophilic systems and pigments as well as porous, flexible and soft substrates. It can also improve weather resistance to water, UV radiation, ozone and cold.
Typical applications include paints and coatings, such as powder coatings, automotive, industrial, architectural, furniture and parquet coatings, as well as UV-curing systems. DEUREX C 0315 M is also used in can and coil coatings. As carnauba wax type 3 (E 903), it is intended for food-contact applications, including food colorants, printing inks, paints and coating materials that come into direct contact with food. 98% of the particles are smaller than 15 µm, with a typical distribution of 50% at approximately 10 µm. The drop point is 80 to 88°C, and the acid value is 2 to 7 mg KOH/g.
