Water based wax emulsion of a biodegradable wax
BIOMER 98 E is a water based wax emulsion based on a biodegradable wax for water-based coatings, paints, slip and release agents, as well as finishing auxiliaries for textiles, paper, leather, and polishes. It can also be used in care products and wood coatings. The yellowish opaque liquid emulsion is VOC-free, APEO-free, and formaldehyde-free, making it particularly suitable for modern water-based formulations with high requirements for sustainability and surface quality. BIOMER 98 is biodegradable according to OECD 301 B.
In application, BIOMER 98 E improves hydrophobization, increases surface gloss and surface smoothness, and enhances slip properties. At the same time, the wax emulsion contributes to improved scratch and rub resistance, reduces the coefficient of friction, and provides good anti-blocking properties. With high hardness, temperature resistance, a solids content of 34 - 36%, and an average particle size of 50 - 200 nm, BIOMER 98 E can be efficiently integrated into aqueous systems.
