BIOMER 98 K

BIOMER 98 K is a biodegradable hard wax from the BIOMER product family and was developed as a high-melting wax to help prevent the formation of microplastics. The modified, oxidized wax with branched chains is supplied as a white, fine granulate and is suitable for use in PVC and other plastics, lubricants, as well as water- and solvent-based emulsions. BIOMER 98 is biodegradable according to OECD 301 B, making it a sustainable alternative for applications that require both strong wax performance and environmental compatibility.

In application, BIOMER 98 K offers good abrasion resistance, anti-blocking properties and improved slip performance. At the same time, the wax supports enhanced water resistance and gloss, can be used as a release agent, and helps with viscosity control. With a drop point of 98 - 105 °C, low penetration, and a viscosity of less than 350 mPas at 140 °C, BIOMER 98 K can be integrated into a wide range of industrial formulations.
