Biodegradable wax, paste
BIOMER 72 is a biodegradable, modified hard wax. The highly polar and extremely hydrophilic wax was specially developed to prevent the formation of microplastics and enable sustainable, future-oriented product formulations. As a biodegradable wax in accordance with OECD 301 B, BIOMER 72 meets the highest ecological requirements and supports manufacturers in the development of environmentally friendly, microplastic-free and SPM-free end products. The low-melting wax impresses with its excellent emulsifiability. Under pressure conditions, for example in autoclaves, BIOMER 72 can be processed without additional emulsifiers. Even at normal pressure, emulsification is possible with a low dosage of a bioemulsifier. This makes the product ideal for innovative, label-compliant (‘label-free’) formulations in a wide range of industrial applications.
