Water based emulsion based of a biodegradable wax
BIOMER 87 E is a biodegradable, water based emulsion that has been specially developed for sustainable and high-performance coating systems. As a 100% bio based wax raw material derived from plants, the product meets the highest ecological requirements and is ideal for modern, environmentally friendly formulations. The emulsion is biodegradable in accordance with OECD 301 B and thus actively supports sustainable production processes.
Thanks to its versatile properties, BIOMER 87 E is widely used in aqueous paints and varnishes as well as in water based overprint varnishes and flexographic printing inks. In addition, the emulsion is used as a lubricant and release agent and serves as a finishing aid for textiles, paper and leather. It also contributes to improved surface properties in polishes and care products. In the field of food coatings, BIOMER 87 E is an impressive gloss and coating agent with an additional release function. The product is approved as a food additive in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1333/2008 and has the relevant approvals for food contact.
Technically, BIOMER 87 E is characterised by increased lubricity and improved abrasion and scratch resistance. In addition, the emulsion has an anti-blocking effect and improves the polishability of surfaces. It is VOC-free, APEO-free and formaldehyde-free and does not require the use of MIT or BIT. The non-ionic emulsifier system ensures stable incorporation into water-based formulations. With its combination of sustainability, food approval and outstanding technical performance, BIOMER 87 E is the ideal biodegradable wax emulsion for demanding industrial applications.
